The move provided by this company turned out to be a total nightmare. Once items arrived at our new home and unloading began one common theme presented itself, “here is another broken, married or damaged item”. In addition to damaging items of furniture (some antiques), scratching and marking well kept furniture items we noticed several things missing. Tools missing from a tool box, garage shelving brackets missing, garage items that were boxed at the origination location arrived loose and not in any kind of a box or container. In addition to our items being damaged, marred, scratched or missing altogether, we received items that did not belong to us. Attempts to have Mayflower find the rightful owner of the items has fallen on deaf ears. The damage to our household items, in my opinion was so extensive that there is no way it could have been accidental. It could only happen as a result of carelessness and outright negligence. Mayflower itself has been completely in different to our calls for reimbursement or proper repair cost coverage. They don’t seem to care who property we received that did not belong to us, nor do they care about recovering our missing items. As a side note, they disassembled many pieces of furniture during the packing process. Once at our new home they made “ZERO” effort to reassemble any of the items. Fasteners were placed in a parts box and not labeled as to what they came off of. In many cases bolts used to assemble furniture were stripped and unusable at the destination for reassembly ( many trips to Home Depot to get new fasteners). It took nearly two weeks to figure out what all the nuts and bolts belong to in order to complete the assembly process at the destination. Again without any input or assistance from Mayflower. I would stay as far away from this company as I could. Also please bear in mind that Mayflower and United Van Lines are sister companies and are one and the same company operating under different banners.

I used Treasure Coast Moving and Storage for a move from Boynton Beach to Port St. Lucie. Most of my items went into storage and some went to a temporary rental. Richard’s estimate was clear and concise – more clear than most – and they were very competitive in price. After reading some of their reviews and after Richard answered all of my questions, I did retain them for the move. The crew arrived promptly and they were all wonderful and professional. I was so happy to see how much care they took with all of my belongings. The items going into storage were wrapped so carefully and they communicated with me throughout the entire day to make sure that everything was done properly. The crew obviously knew what they were doing and they worked so well together. Moving is stressful under any circumstance so having a company and crew that understood my needs and took great care of all of my belongings so carefully by expertly wrapping furniture and crating fragile items, made this much less stressful on me. I am very happy to give them a wonderful recommendation.
