Sandhill’s Moving & Storage

Edit in response to owner: I’m not using my last name on here and my other accounts have aliases but it’s still me, no spam. The move was underneath my husband’s name and it happened in early October, initials D.S in Fayetteville. Unless the chat will be about us getting a replacement for the missing cologne, I’m not sure what there is to talk about.

They packed our items well, but they STOLE my husband’s $100+ COLOGNE and they stole my candy that I had bought that day…it’s literally nowhere to be found and no neither one of us misplaced it or threw it away. No, it is not in any boxes, we already opened everything, and no it was not put into another box or misplaced.

He kept his cologne in our 1 bathroom and we let the man and woman movers use the bathroom. Suddenly, once they leave, we realize that it’s MISSING.

With the second round of people that came to actually load the boxes, they were being lazy with moving our iron weights and almost hurt himself with the dolly carrying the weights AND it broke part of the concrete stairs to the apartment complex.

We know that it was either the woman or man in the first round of movers that took it. Hopefully it can be refunded or returned to us.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND WATCH THEM FOR MILITARY PCS MOVES!

I will start my review off with the good of our experience- two of the movers were kind and helpful and did a lot of the work.

The bad which is most of our experience unfortunately- We put in for movers to come and unload our household goods, put together furniture, and unpack boxes. The whole crew didn’t communicate or really get along well. It took them almost the whole day to just get everything off the truck due to lack of communication and disorganization. The crew argued a lot and didn’t listen to each other which is why it took them so long to unload our stuff.
Most of our furniture was put together incorrectly and my husband had to either have them redo it and instruct them or redo it himself after they left. They didn’t unpack any of our boxes at all which I assume is because it took them so long to unload everything off the trucks. They put multiple holes, dents, and dings in our walls, scraped our hard flooring and carpets, as well as chipped and scraped paint off doorways and arches throughout our home; Most of which was minor but there was A LOT of minor damage done which is severely disappointing as we had just purchased and moved into our new home.

Most of the crew left and no one unpacked any of the boxes. I even called the day before they were scheduled to come and double checked that they would be doing an unpack which was confirmed. I wasn’t expecting things to be put away or organized properly; just that boxes were unpacked and put in their proper locations & rooms to help save us time.

After they left, I’d never felt so stressed after a move and unpack compared to the other 5 moves we’ve done as a military family. It didn’t feel like the crew genuinely cared that things were taken care of the right way and that they were careful throughout the house as they moved furniture where it was supposed to go.

I was surprised to see this company has such amazing reviews after our experience which is an even bigger bummer. Maybe it was the crew that we were assigned, but this was a horrible and disheartening experience. I personally felt like they were rushing to get things done and be able to leave. The did not take the time or put in care needed for moving and unpacking our personal belongings. Based of our experience alone, I would not recommend Sandhills moving company.
