This is my 2nd time working with McComb Relocation. The guys know how to move!! Nothing was broken and nothing was lost!! We navigated steep stairs, blistering heat, and an old house with a narrow entryway. 10 outta 10. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I’ve moved a number of times, and let’s be honest, it usually sucks really bad. I did some research online for the best long-distance movers and decided to check these guys out.
Mr. Smith was great to work with, and even came out to my house a second time to do another walk through after I sent some of my belongings ahead just to ensure he was giving me a good estimate. Mr. Smith was responsive in returning calls and emails. Overall I was very satisfied with the process on that end.
Now the movers… So, it was hot and it was in Corpus Christi in May, so although they took a bit longer than I would have liked to pack, they did a good job and didn’t mess up my stuff and I understand the weather definitely makes moving a lot harder sometimes. They made it to my new house a lot faster than I expected as well! So that was very good to see. Normally it seems like it takes a couple of weeks to receive the drop off.
What I would say is that the job probably would have been easier on the movers if they had 3 people, instead of just 2. My move was not huge by any means, but in terms of time, another guy would have made a huge difference in loading.
I would definitely recommend these guys.
After Hurricane Harvey, I was being evicted from my apartment due to damages received to the building. I am a single mother and my son was ten months old at the time. Mc Combs company and workers knew all of this and the two workers that moved my belongings showed a great amount of sympathy for me. I didn’t even have a home to move to so all my things were being moved to storage. I visited my storage unit the next day only to find my jewelry and $280 missing from me. The jewelry consisted of my great grandmothers engagement rings and her wedding ring! Family heirlooms that we’re passed along to me! I hadn’t worked in a couple of weeks and my grampy gave me $500 cash. I had $280 left. That’s all I had to my name. It was robbed from me from my storage unit. I regretted giving the workers the keys to finish by themselves but I had to find a new home or apartment of some sort for my son and I! And I should be able to trust a moving and packing company because that is their job! I also regret leaving my jewelry box with the rings in cash but I had it packed, and like I said before I should be able to trust a moving company. I went straight to the company and spoke to manger that same day. I cried, I pleaded. Nothing. The workers denied knowing what I was talking about or having any involvement. I was not compensated for my loss after the company knew what I was going through. The workers were not fired and still work there to this day. Adan and Ronnie are their names. Do not use Mc Combs relocation services please!!!! Their workers are ruthless thieves!!!!!
Local movers.picked our stuff up on time. Driver let us know when to expect him at our new home. Movers were helpful and wanted to put everything where I wanted it.
McComb Relocation came through for me on a recent move. Dan gave me a speedy, fair estimate of costs. The local crew was great; fast, polite and thorough. At destination the contracted driver was courteous and fast. Would definitely recommend McComb Relocation and United Van Lines for a move.
