Local Trucks

I hired Rigo for a very small moving job, I needed to get a couch from the garage into my 2nd floor apartment and it needed to be hoisted over a rail as it did not fit up the stairs – I tried to carry it up previously and failed. A lot of movers won’t take smaller jobs like that, or the minimums are cost prohibitive.

I was really worried we wouldn’t be able to get it in my apartment door, Rigo went out of his way to come look at it and give me a quote before deciding if I wanted to hire him. He was extremely nice and professional, easy to communicate with, took measurements, and was good about managing expectations as there was a slight chance it wouldn’t fit. It ended up working out great, I didn’t have to lift a finger and the job was done in about 30 minutes. Will 100% use these guys in the future if needed.

This is my second moving experience with Rigo and his team, and it was even better than the first time! Rigo and his team are great at communicating throughout the entire moving process. They are fast and efficient at moving, and their rates are more than fair—what more can you ask for? They’ve helped me move into a house and also into an apartment building; both experiences went so smoothly!! I will definitely use their services every time I need a moving job done. 100% would recommend them to anyone who needs help with moving!

I hired Local Trucks to assist me with clearing out my business property (closed my boutique) and also to transport some of my excess household items to my storage facility. Local Trucks brought two very clean white vans. I would like to comment on their professionalism, integrity, manners and careful handling of all items. They were prompt, friendly, highly communicative, speak and write exceptional English and were very eager to please.

Another nice thing about Local Trucks is that there are no extra hidden charges such as multiple drop off or pick up points. They charge by the minute. Best of all there is no required minimum. Most movers require at least 3 hours. That is quite useful if you need them to pick up and transport a heavy item.

I also had Local Trucks rearrange furniture in my house and move a freezer and refrigerator I had in my garage to the other side of the garage, move heavy items to the curb so that the City dumpster can pick them up.

When all done, I asked if Local Trucks would swing by my sister’s business to deliver some glass shelving (I picked up from storage) and put it in her glass cabinet she had at her shop. They did and sent me a picture of it showing the shelving in it. I did not even ask them to send me the pic.

In the past 20 years, I and my family have hired at least 6 to 8 moving companies (for both business and personal for at least 16 different times or so) and have had issues with most of these companies, such as, theft, breakage, padding their time, asking for cash only, rough handling, damage/scrapes/scratches, dragging furniture on concrete, fake property insurance and refusal to honor a claim even though documented by the driver, etc. Until I found Local Trucks, I had to watch these other companies like a hawk and take a physical examination of their truck (hidden areas in back of the seats).

With Local Trucks you do not have to worry about unethical practices. Finally, a moving company I can trust. I will use them exclusively. Thank you Local Trucks.
