Greater Dayton Moving & Storage has been great. They arrived right on time. They worked quickly and efficiently. They packed our stuff really well and acted with professionalism and kindness. My crew I enjoyed was Charles, John and Frank. If you can request these guys I would. John was the crew chief and was awesome. He runs a tight ship excuse my navy slip. If I move again I will definitely request them! Great job! Thank you!

UPDATE: We made it to our new home in CA, I’m glad to say we are missing nothing and surprisingly nothing is broken! Thank you!
First, we thought the actual people who helped us move were great (Scott and Jeff); however, the office staff have been quite disappointing.
For those of you with the TLDR mentality (I get it haha): Movers were good but not careful enough, front office staff did not listen and poor communicators, were generally difficult to deal with, and have since not responded to us about a TV being broken in the move even though they stated that they would get back to us.
When I first called, I gave the time window I would need the movers to come based on when we would have rented our truck. The man at the office told me he could only specify and hour window, and I thought “okay, well that’s strange, but okay.” Then, when they called to confirm the move the day before, that time estimate had been expanded from a 1-hour window to a 2-hour window. I explained that if movers showed up in that timeframe, we would not have a truck yet. They seemed unphased by this information and said “ok, the movers will call en-route.” Being the day before the move, it was doubtful we would find someone else, so we stuck with the choice. On the day of, the movers called and stated they were arriving at the earliest part of the time window, which I then had to explain to them that I tried to explain to their office. Both of us were frustrated and disappointed with the office.
Once again, our movers were professional and kind, even helped out our neighbors. They were a bit pushy though, and sadly were not quite as careful as they made themselves out to be. Our TV was broken in the move, and as far as we can tell it was directly due to where it was packed in the truck and with a piece of furniture that could hit it in the center of the screen.
So, now to dealing with the office again. We called the office, and the office-manager who answered the phone became quite interrogative and hostile very quickly, immediately stating firmly and angrily that they would not be responsible. I stated calmly and gently our disappointment and frustration. She stated she would call the dispatch and get back to me. Days went by, and I called again, this time a male office-manager took my information, said he would get back to me in one hour. He did not. I called a third time and a different person took my information again, stated they would call back. They have not. Seems it will be unanswered at this point, and quite disappointing.
I’ve moved multiple times, all over the country and internationally. The team that offloaded my household goods to my new home here were probably one of the best I’ve ever dealt with. This move had lots more damage than previous moves (not the fault of this company), and the team was super helpful in pointing out damage and recommending what to take pictures of, etc. They were pointing things out to us that we wouldn’t have noticed for days or weeks. They were friendly, good with kids/dogs, and respectful of our new home. They definitely went the extra mile for us and we truly appreciated it. Highly recommend.
I appreciate businesses with good customer service that do what they say they’ll do! My moving experience was positive (moved numerous household items to a storage unit). Why a positive experience? On time, professional, efficient, friendly, helpful team, and my experience was this way from the point of my initial contact. Thank you!!
Joe and Chris arrived on time and ready to go on the hottest day of the year! We had them pack several fragile items and they did a stellar job! We are moving to Florida so going into storage first and delivery later. Shawn is the awesome representative that you’ll likely meet with. Very experienced and knowledgeable regarding procedure . They also provided lots of boxes for us as well! Can’t say enough great things about this conscientious organization. They treated our belongings like their own! Thanks guys! Cheers 🙂
