Brooks Moving And Hauling

I recently had a horrible moving experience with the first moving company I hired which left me in tears, my home in damaged and disarray, and trying to find out what to do. Long story short, the first moving company tried to get my couch upstairs and it did not work. I was told it cannot be done after they damaged several parts of my home without compensating me for the damages (photos of damage are from the first company, NOT Brooks Moving Company). I spend the evening researching some moving companies and carefully selected Brooks Moving Company after reading how the handle delicate and difficult situations. I definitely have a difficult stair situation and an extremely fragile couch as the backrests lift up and extend out so they cannot have weight out on them of the mechanism will break (it happened to my mothers identical couch). I spent time speaking with Brooks and the man didn’t just say “yes we can do it” to collect a paycheck. He asked for photos of the couch and layout of the home to ensure the crew could safely and effectively manage the move. He confirmed they could do it and scheduled me 2 days later for 2 hour movers which was amazing since the original movers left the couch in my extremely narrow hallway. Day of the move, Dupson, Derrick, and Major arrived on time and ready to work. They have shoe covers and all the equipment ready with a positive attitude, clean appearance and professional mannerism. They assessed the situation and did what they had to do in advance to ensure the move would be flawless and efficient. They only took about an hour to get my couch up the stairs (photo of the couch together is the aftermath of Dupson, Derrick and Majors work) and had time left over. Instead of wasting time or just leaving, Dupson, Major, and Derrick saw how the first movers left my first floor in disarray and noticed I was a single female that could not move the majority of my items myself upstairs so they kindly asked if I would like additional help. They quickly starting grinding out what they could with my left over hour to help me get the remainder of furniture and heavy boxes up the stairs. This meant a lot to me. I could tell the three of them truly cared about me as a client and they take their work seriously. I made sure to take note of their names because I will only be using Brooks in the future and will specifically be asking for the three of them due to their cleanliness, professionalism, efficiency, care of my items, protective measures they took, swiftness, punctuality, and willingness to help. Do not hesitate to hire Brooks and ask for Dupson, Major and Derrick.

This was a small job- from office to home. (2 hours). They were efficient, thorough, professional and arrived early and got to work. They were meticulous about protecting the walls and floors, as well as the furniture. They were lovely to work with and I would highly recommend them again and again. I have used many other moving services and since the pricing was the same for the other well known movers– I will use Brooks from now on. Their service was far above the other big name companies. I don’t usually write reviews but their exceptional service warranted this review. They did a great job packing everything, wrapping each item to ensure they are safe. The move is in October, with a hurricane in horizon and pouring rain, they did a great job moving.They were punctual and communicated very well and very professional. Did everything asked of them.
