I recently used NSM for my move, I used them for their “white glove service” (packing, moving, unpacking). I would say my experience was mixed.
Devin is great, he is communicative during the booking process, transparent about plans and realistic about timings. The team of movers are wonderful, they work hard and are friendly. Some of the team definitely take more care than others, but overall there was minimal damage to my belongings.
On the other hand, the packing team leave a lot to be desired. Things are packed and unpacked hastily. There is a priority for time efficiency over doing the job correctly. Unfortunately calling it white glove service is misleading because you spend the next week fixing what was done! Unpacking was started without running through how rooms needed to be set up and damage was done to areas of our new home (in all fairness to Devin this is being fixed with no issue), however it could have been avoided if greater care had been taken.
Additionally, there was disrespect of our space – appliance used without asking, we have found food trash in trash cans in bathrooms without liners, to name just two things. Overall this aspect of the move was a stressful experience.
I would recommend Devin’s for moving services, and perhaps even for packing if this was done by the moving team. However, I wouldn’t recommend the so-called white glove service because for what you get and stress, it isn’t worth the additional cost.
We’ve hired No Stress Movers twice now and have been consistently impressed with their clear communications, safety focus, as well as friendly and respectful demeanor on the job. They absolutely take the stress out of moving! We will use them again in the future. Thanks again to a great crew!
