can’t say enough good things about this team. They spent an entire day packing up our house, then an extremely long 2nd day loading their truck twice and unloading it at the new house. It would not be possible for them to work harder or more efficiently as a team, they did not even take breaks. They were extremely conscious of door ways and large pieces of furniture. Moving Ahead was not the cheapest quote I got, but they certainly proved to be the best value. I cannot recommend enough.

Moving ahead – This was hands down the worst moving company I have ever used and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!!! Not only am I going to the BBB about all the property that was destroyed during the move but I’m also now speaking with my attorney to see what we can do here.. I’ll keep this somewhat short just to let you know what I’m going through now.. I moved from Columbus OH to Nashville which means when arriving in Nashville they hire labor guys that rush through the job to get paid and leave asap which was what I was told the do for out of state moves.. we are now into month 4 on my damage claim which they lease out to a 3rd party so they can wipe their hands clean of you after taking full price for the move, no end in sight which is why I have my attorney looking into going after Moving Ahead.. when arriving in Nashville, the hire labor guys unpacked my new white couch on the truck tossing the large cushion and pillows from the truck to a guy in the yard that tossed them aside in the lawn.. white couch completely ruined from the grass and dirt stains!! They tried to carry my gun safe up my front porch got to the top and dropped it all the way down to the front yard, yes that was destroyed as well.. the staircase in the house to the upstairs was a disaster!! Holes in the wall, deep gouges, and scratches in the walls as well as the ceiling from the first floor all the way to the top. Dinette set brand new like my couch was scratched and even dented, I think furniture fell during the move as items were not properly tied down. So please learn from my review and ask questions about the move and the movers, what if furniture is destroyed, what the process and how long does it take.. oh I believe there is also a deductible on insurance claims as I think mine is another $1000… good luck and beware!!!

JJ, Taray and Mike are legit the best people I have ever met. They made the temporary move in the beginning way less stressful because they are super nice and hard working guys. They even made it a point to plug in my tvs and make sure they were in perfect working condition before they took them out of my house and put them on the moving truck, which I thought was really cool of them. Once the renovations were completed and I was able to move back into my townhouse, I was happy to see that it was them bringing all of my belongings back. They brought everything back in the house and put boxes where I had asked them to with no problem. They asked me to put up a review of their work and I did so while they were still working. After they left it was my turn to start working, so I started clearing out boxes and putting things away. That’s when I realized that I had a few things that didn’t make it back to me. I was unable to find my microwave, which was bright red and not easy to overlook. Then I couldn’t find my printer, which is also an item that’s pretty hard to overlook. Nonetheless, I made sure all of the electronics, TVs included, were in their proper place and ready to be hooked up after I got some much needed sleep. The next morning I was ready to hook up the tvs, modem and router and get back to life as usual. Unfortunately, it did not go as well as I had expected. I hooked up the modem and router first to make sure it was working properly and ready to go. I plugged the cable into the tv and plugged the tv into the wall and turned it on. I literally almost died when the tv came on and the screen was completely destroyed… my 55 inch Toshiba Fire TV that took me 4 months to save up for as a Christmas gift to myself was officially destroyed and it wasn’t by me. This is the one thing that absolutely broke my heart because it was not even 3 years old. I notified my landlord about everything that was missing and broken immediately afterwards, and sent her a picture of my tv. I was told to pick up a damage claim form the next day, and I did. Unfortunately, none of the details about this relocation process were discussed with me at any point, so I have no idea where my belongings were even stored at as I was not allowed access to them at any point. I was not shown pictures of the storage unit with my belongings in it or anything. Now I have to stress about how I am going to replace the things that were broken or never made it back to my house, and I don’t have that kind of money to just run out and spend like that. Hopefully I will get to speak with Stefan, who apparently organized the whole relocation and storage facility, and I will be able to get some kind of assistance in the things that I now have to replace. I read on the damage claim paperwork that I am only entitled to be reimbursed at a rate of 60 cents per pound for damages and lost items… to me, that makes absolutely zero sense at all, so hopefully I will be able to get some answers and the appropriate compensation to replace things that I was not responsible for losing or damaging.
