I’ve moved 10 times in my lifetime and THIS was by far the easiest, despite me being the most nervous for this move from DC to NYC by myself!
I came across Piece of Cake when googling moving places that could take me from DC to NYC. Piece of Cake immediately stood out because of their reviews and as soon as I contacted the team, they were quick, responsive, and extremely communicative.
From coordinating the details leading up to my move day to the extreme caution and care my two movers had with my belongings (despite living in a 4th floor walk up apartment in NYC – yikes!!!) – I truly had an unbelievable experience. I did NOT think it was possible to move this quickly in one day!
If I move again anytime soon, I absolutely will be using them again. Thank you guys for making my day carefree and seamless.
Piece of Cake Moving truly made my move a piece of cake! They took great care of all my items and wrapped our furniture several times to insure it arrived safe and secure. The were very efficient and managed time well. My movers were fun to be around and made the experience a positive one. They even carried our giant couch all the way upstairs without hitting the freshly painted walls and banister! Overall I’d highly recommend Piece of Cake for your next move!

OH MY GOODNESS! BEST MOVING SERVICE EVER!! i have not one bad thing to say about piece of cake, truly i could not have asked for a better moving company!! i was moving from nyc to new jersey and i was so stressed every single day leading up to my move-in day because i didn’t know how i was going to move all my stuff by myself. i have no family near me and my friends were all working. anyways, the movers showed up and were so helpful and quick! I had two different locations to pick up from and they finished each within like 10-15 minutes. it was INSANE! everything arrived perfectly and was handled with care. also, i had delayed trains on my commutes and they were so understanding and waited patiently for me to arrive 🥺 seriously, they made this such a stress free move! i would recommend them to everyone!
The Piece of Cake team fully moved us long distance from Brooklyn, NY to Virginia in one day! The team was incredibly kind, timely, communicative, accommodating, and efficient and couldn’t have given us a better start to this chapter in our new home. They helped us figure out how to wrap and move a lot of cumbersome and clunky items, and fully disassembled and reassembled delicate furniture exactly where we needed it to go. They checked in constantly throughout our move-in and drop-off to make sure they were setting up our new home exactly how we wanted and were so caring and professional. Truly a white glove experience! We’ve used a few moving companies over the years and couldn’t recommend Piece of Cake more!
