Gabe And Sons Moving

I originally used Gabe and Sons last year to unload a truck after a multi-state move and they did a great job, so when it came time to move again I called them to load our trucks for us to make another similar move.

They sent a crew of 5 people to help us pack and they did a good job with that, but on moving day they only sent 2 guys to load 2 trucks and it took them over 8 hours to load. I was told that they’d send 3, but with only 2 guys they were absolutely stretched thin and I don’t think I paid any lower of a rate.

When loading they did so many things wrong from not securing things properly leading to a damaged glass case, stacking heavy boxes on top of light ones leading to crushed items, stacking heavy things on top of table legs that were sitting sideways, leaving my kid’s trampoline in a place where the door scraped off the safety padding when they closed it, and worst of all they did not stack my desks how they said they would (one desk upside down on top of the other so the surfaces are against each other), leading to the desk surfaces being severely damaged with fist sized clusters of dents from the feet of a shelf riding on top of it the entire time.

I notified Gabe of the issue and was told that it was not their responsibility since they did not drive or unload. Due to the damage I spent time inspecting things as they were unloaded at the other end of our journey that I should have spent directing where things needed to go, so we’re struggling to get settled in while also figuring out how to repair or replace the damaged items after an already expensive move.

I would not recommend them for anything other than full-service moves where they would be forced to accept responsibility for anything that went wrong.

My husband and I have moved quite a few times over the past two years. When we starting looking for a moving company to move us from Corpus Christi to Aransas Pass, we did our research. We decided to use Gabe and Sons Moving Company after recommendations from friends and from Google reviews.

First, we had to change our move date three different times, twice due to our new place not being ready, and one due to severe weather. Every time I called and spoke to Gabe, he was very accommodating, and we were able to change dates with no problems.

Second, the cost of the move was very reasonable, and the price quoted was all inclusive! No hidden fees for mileage or gas.

Lastly, we can’t begin to say enough about the team sent to move us! Santos, Isaac, and Trace went far above and beyond with our move! They were so careful with our furniture, wrapping everything with quilts and furniture wrap! They were respectful, pleasant, and friendly, and they were so hard working!

We don’t plan on moving again, but if we did, there would be no question who we would call! We are recommending Gabe and Sons to anyone we know who are planning a move!

Mark, Josh, and Oscar were fantastic. They were professional, polite, and very efficient. They took care of my belongings and didn’t waste any time. They communicated well throughout the move and finished faster than I expected. I would definitely use them again. I’m so happy I chose Gabe and Sons for my move. They are really well priced too.
