Absolutely avoid Apartment Movers – A Disaster from Start to Finish

I cannot stress enough how terrible my experience with Apartment Movers was during our recent move. It was a complete nightmare, costing us significant time, money, and emotional distress.

Firstly, despite requesting a three-person team for five hours, only two movers showed up. This not only meant they worked much longer hours than agreed upon, costing me hundreds of dollars extra, but it also put immense strain on them, potentially compromising the quality of their work.

Their incompetence was further evident when they refused to pull the truck up the driveway on the first attempt, wasting hours moving boxes back and forth and increasing the risk of damage. They only complied on the second attempt, which raises questions about their professionalism and willingness to listen to customer instructions.

The most infuriating part was that they left several items behind after my mother, who was our point of contact on moving day, had already left for our new home. This felt incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate.

The movers’ carelessness resulted in 15 of our boxes breaking, rendering them unusable. These boxes were $20 each, resulting in $300 in damages. It’s clear that they did not handle our belongings with the care they deserved.

To top it all off, the movers were extremely rude and unprofessional toward my mother. They argued with her and started the day by complaining that they wouldn’t be able to complete the move in one trip. Their negative attitude persisted throughout the day, making an already stressful situation even worse.

The combination of broken boxes, left-behind items, and their blatant disrespect towards my mother left us feeling like this was more than just incompetence – it felt intentional.

I strongly advise against using Apartment Movers. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Save yourself the headache and choose a different moving company.

Would highly recommend. We moved from 2 different apartments into one apartment. The movers are very professional and punctual. They made the move from both the apartments very easy and fast for us. They were careful with handling all of our stuff. Very happy with our decision to choose The Apartment Movers.

I could not be happier with the service of Israel and Marin. They helped us out earlier today for four hours – 1 Bed + Bath + Den to 1 Bed + Bath + Loft. They managed to get all of our huge furniture up the stairs within minutes, no scratches on the wall or any damages on the floor.

I researched a lot of moving companies and for one, The Apartment Mover was the most affordable at $90/hour, didn’t require a scheduling deposit and didn’t charge a drive time for under 15min of local moving. With an hourly rate, there is always the concern that the movers may take longer and you’ll end up paying more than intended. Israel and Marin got done with all items and assembly/dissembly within the four hour window.

Both movers were professional, masked and social distanced. We were surprised at their efficiency and competence and will definitely be using this company again. Wonderful people – Giselle included!
